I do not own a pit bull or any of the other so-called "dangerous" breeds; I own German Shorthaired Pointers. I don't know what the group's stand on hunting is, but my dogs are hunting dogs. They are also sweet, loving, and beloved family members, more like our children than pets. I see the hysteria and the list of "dangerous" dogs growing and I wonder: will my sweet-tempered, loving clowns be next - because they are hunting dogs? My dogs are bred and trained only to point, flush and retrieve small game. They think they are watchdogs but just want to "love to death" anyone who comes to the door. Any dog at any time could turn on a person if wrongly treated. I joined this group because I think it's atrocious that lawmakers are singling out certain breeds because of their ignorant owners. It's no different from racial profiling. Anyway, that's me and my opinion and we are happy to be here.

Well Hello and Welcome Jan. Thank you for introducing your self and sharing with us your opinion. It is atrocious racial profiling and it is the fault of the owners who mistreat and abuse etc their dogs.
