I will try to "nicely answer the question of "What do I think of BSL". I think that BSL is nothing short of RACISM. I would love to meet some of the "people" who are responsible for the Breed Specific Legislation Bill otherwise known as BSL. What are these people thinking about?? They come into homes and take the family's companion only to destroy the family and later destroy the dog. You see and hear news stories "Pitbull attacks baby" , "Pitbull attacks children" or "Owner is killed when pitbull turns on him". When is the last time you see "Golden Retriever attacks" or "German Shepard mauls children"....(Don't get me wrong..I love all breeds) I'll tell you NEVER do you hear of these and what is sad about it is Pitbulls only attribute to around 8% of dog attacks.....Research reveals this. Wonder how that got swept under the rug....Sadly there are families in states that have adopted the BSL bill that are having to send their faithful and loyal family companion to friends or family in another state just to save it's life. And there are the many unlucky ones that don't have this opportunity. I owned a pitbull. His name was "Rayne"...He is in the photo with me. I openly confess that I would have done anything to keep my friend safe....SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE!!!! The most famous saying for this terrible situation is "PUNISH THE DEED, NOT THE BREED"....I shed a tear for every pitbull that has been destroyed and to the families that have had to suffer such a loss...

- I am no different than most people. I have a huge heart for animals. I'm not pro-PETA. I'm not a fan of hunting. Some do it for sport and some do it for food.
I have had 5+ years experience working with pitbull rescue. It is through this that I have seen up close what "humans" have done to this breed and it just makes me so sick and angry! I had the opportunity to work with the Michael Vick "victims" and that case really opened my eyes to just how trusting and loyal this breed is. After everything BAD NEWZ KENNELS "Associates" put those pitbulls through, the fights, the starvation, the forced breeding and God only knows what else they went through, they are Survivors. They were absolutely terrified the day that the raid occurred. What were they scared of??? US! They were scared of us..the ones that were there to save them. I have cried so many tears and had so many sleepless nights after that day. There is one moment from that day that I will never, ever forget. I was walking around, taking photos for the case and dogs chained everywhere..To stakes in the ground, to dog houses, to car parts. It was the most horrific scene that anyone could possibly imagine. As I was taking photos of the dogs before they were loaded in the many Animal Control vehicles, I came upon one pitbull that caught my eye. As I walked closer to her she back away as far as her chain would let her..Of course, I was scared as I didnt know what to expect but my heart was breaking and I burst into tears. This pitbull must have sensed something because she slowly crawled closer to me..Very slow. As she got within arms reach I held my hand out (heart beating out of my chest) and she nudged my hand with her nose. I sat on the ground there and just talked to her. I tried to tell her that I was so sorry for what she has been through am I am there to help her. All the while I am still choking on my tears. I then saw the most shocking sight. She had not ONE tooth in her mouth. They had pulled all her teeth out so that she couldn't fight back when they bred her. I thought I was going to literally be sick. That day will forever haunt me.
Luckily for her and the other 46 surviving pitbulls, they got a second chance. Thanks to Judge Henry Hudson and all the people who fought for the rights of these innocent "Victims". For once, they were finally seen as the "VICTIMS". The girl who touched my heart the most was renamed Georgia and she is now in the loving arms of Best Friend Sanctuary located in Utah.
