- What Do You Think of BSL (Breed Specific Legislation)
- Ignorant, Unconstitutional and Completely Ridiculous. This is a poem written about BSL from a Pit Bull's point of view: I feel for people, who have been attacked but you can't put all the blame on my back. For I'm a creature put on God's great earth, No knowledge of love or hate before my birth. Why do you blame us all for a few bad ones? Do you hate your children because of a few bad sons? One day I hope you'll realize that it's you with hate in your eyes. It's not up to you to wipe out a breed for only God has the power to do that deed. So just remember as I run along it's not my breed, but your perception that's all wrong.

- I was in a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago that has left me in a wheelchair from a spinal cord injury. About 2 months before my accident I got my first APBT. After my accident I had to give him away because I did not know how long I was going to be in the hospital and rehab. Well it's a good thing I did because it was 14 months before I returned home and that would not have been fair for him to have so many different people taking care of him and not be around me for so long. Once I returned home I desperately wanted another Pit because I absolutely fell in love with the breed 14 months earlier and would not settle for any other breed. I found the one I was looking for, Sidney. Sidney is the niece of my original Pit and it just felt right. Sidney is now in training to become a service dog for me. She is so smart and is always so willing to do anything I ask of her, open a door or turn on the lights for me or just curl up and lay her head on my chest and give me loves. As most APBT owners will say, I will never own another breed. It's up to us to save this remarkable breed.
